Tanner Zizelman

I am originally from St Marys, and went to Bowling  Green State University for my degree in Exercise  Science. As a former cheerleader, gymnast, and diver with a knee injury, I found a passion for the aerial arts as it improves strength and flexibility, and is acrobatic without impact on the knees. I then found aerial yoga, which was a calmer and more meditative form of aerial acrobatics. I got my Aerial Certification in November of 2017 and am very excited to share this unique form of yoga!

I have taught group fitness classes, performed health and fitness evaluations, trained high school athletes, and spent time as a health educator. My goal in life is to help individuals live healthier and happier, through exercise, a healthy lifestyle, and having fun.

1. Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early in order to address silks and get set up.

2. Avoid lotions or strong perfumes

3. Avoid practicing on a full stomach.Wear form-fitting clothes with no zippers or jewelry (baggy clothing can get twisted in the fabric)

4. It is advised to wear clothing that covers the armpits and the back of the knees.

Aerial Etiquette

Aerial yoga uses a silk hammock suspended from the ceiling to create weightless variations of mat yoga poses. The silk hammock allows for easier back bends, assisted handstands, and inverted poses!

Contrary to the myths, you don’t have to have amazing upper body strength to participate!

There is a classes for everyone!
