A fun Ashtanga yoga workshop created for beginners to intermediate students. It's the perfect opportunity to learn the basics of this unique flowing yoga vinyasa system.
Angel is certified in Ashtanga Yoga teacher and she will share with you this popular sequence, so you can practice anywhere, anytime and have the confidence to join our upcoming monthly or weekly Ashtanga class (depending on the interest level). Many other styles like Vinyasa, Hot Yoga Flow, and Power yoga are based on Ashtanga, so a grounding in this style is a great way to understand other practices too.
Ashtanga is one of the more dynamic styles of yoga – it is a flowing form, meaning you don’t stay in poses for long but keep moving. It uses the traditional yoga poses, so the whole body gets gently stretched and toned and the nervous and endocrine system get balanced. We will also explore the challenging physical asana (postures) we will finish with an introduction to pranayama (breath control) and meditation.
